# THE:PLACE
# 2nd Round Projects
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of cross-cultural actors within immigrant communities and build social, institutional, and organizational foundations for a future immigrant solidarity cooperative in Istanbul by transferring knowledge from Italian experiences.
Images from project implementation stage
The project focuses on co-designing a strategic framework for a cooperative model that supports immigrant and refugee integration and development. It implements a capacity-building program for cross-cultural actors—such as creatives, community leaders, and civil society members—drawing on Fo.Co’s experience in Cosenza. Additionally, the project transforms an existing boxing club in Istanbul into an integrated community hub, including a community kitchen and shared spaces, to host activities and strengthen connections within immigrant communities.
