# THE:PLACE
# 2nd Round Projects
The project harnesses artificial intelligence to digitally preserve and enhance access to Kurdish literature, connecting efforts in Diyarbakır and Stockholm to safeguard cultural heritage, bridge the digital divide, and ensure that literary works are accessible to all.
Images from project implementation stage
The project leverages artificial intelligence to digitally preserve and make Kurdish texts accessible, promoting cultural heritage and inclusivity among Kurdish communities in Turkey and Sweden. By using multilingual AI technologies, it addresses gaps in language representation, fostering linguistic diversity and serving as a pilot for other minority languages, such as Sami in Sweden. The initiative also engages Kurdish communities in a socio-technological dialogue, empowering them to participate in discussions about AI and language technologies and ensuring their needs and perspectives are represented.
