In beyond.istanbul, MAD’s online publication, we approach Istanbul and spatial studies from a transdisciplinary perspective. We aim to move beyond dualisms such as urban-rural, formal-informal, nature-human, center-periphery, good-bad, legal-illegal, local-global, planned-unplanned, theory-practice, horizontal-vertical, architecture-planning.

PRINTED
The print publication is in identical name and focuses on a different spatial justice issue in each issue. These publications are part of MAD’s advocacy activities and they also aim to establish a dialogue with public institutions towards developing policies. They deepen and diversify the concept of spatial justice as both a theoretical framework and a social demand.
