New Report: Housing Cooperatives in Turkey: Opportunities and Recommendations
The policy report titled “Housing Cooperatives in Turkey: Opportunities and Recommendations” by the Center for Spatial Justice has been published online.
The report, written by Emrah Altınok, approaches housing cooperatives as a solidarity-based solution to the housing crisis. By placing the right to housing at the center, it comprehensively examines the current state of housing cooperatives in Turkey, the obstacles they face, and the opportunities they offer. The report presents policy recommendations to public authorities for considering the cooperative model as an alternative in addressing not only housing issues but also broader societal and economic challenges.
The report’s promotion event will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 15:00 at Postane. The event will also be broadcast online for those who cannot attend in person. Details and registration forms will be shared on the Center’s social media accounts in the coming days.
