This report aims to evaluate the performance of the opposition in the municipal offices and question whether the expectations from the new local administrations are being materialized, with a specific focus on the extent to which the change in the balance of power created opportunities for the civil society. Undertaken by five researchers, including MAD members, the report is based on key informant interviews and media research across four metropolitan cities that the government lost \u0131n March 2019, namely Istanbul, Ankara, Mersin, and Diyarbak\u0131r.<\/p>\n
