In this most extensive field of study in MAD, we apply the lens of environmental justice to the scale of river basins. At least once a year, we focus on one of the important basins in the country and conduct fieldwork with the participation of a large group of researchers including environmental lawyers, social scientists, planners, and environmental scientists. The fieldwork conducted throughout the basin focus on the cities and urban social structure as well as the rural areas and the ecosystem. Following the fieldwork, we produce detailed analyses and rich visual presentations to be uploaded on our basin studies website.
